54 Is The Magic Travel Number For Cheap Airfare

Not everyone knows this about me but I am the Queen of "buyers remorse". I have the worst time buying anything too expensive because half the time when I do I know just two days later I see it else where for less and that makes me crazy. That said, I am relieved to see someone is shooting for my piece of mind and deep seated need to get out of town once and a while. A new study has finally revealed a solid answer to a question that's plagued travelers for decades: when exactly should you book a flight to get it at its cheapest.

CheapAir.com looked at 4 million flights in 2013 and determined the best time to buy a plane ticket is 54 days prior to the flight.

And since it is never too soon to plan...The study showed that the best time on average to buy a ticket for Christmas or Thanksgiving travel was June 4 which will be here before you know it:)D
