It was a tragic accident after Maine's last-day-of-winter snowstorm. A young boy from Greene is dead after he was struck by a plow truck driven by his father.

Public safety spokesman Steve McCausland says 6-year-old Nathan Capponi was pronounced dead at a local hospital, where he was taken by ambulance. The accident happened just before 7:00 this morning.

His father, 36-year-old Kevin Capponi was finishing up plowing the driveway to their home on the Quaker Ridge Road when he did not see his son. The boy was on a scooter, playing in the driveway as his father was backing up the truck.
