We've been watching the progress of the new Knowlton Park on State Street in Ellsworth, and this Wednesday the City will hold a little "sneak peak!"

At 11AM on Wednesday, there will be a special flag raising ceremony in the center of the park, followed by the release of water to the splash pad! There's still a lot of work to be done and grass to be grown, so numerous areas of the newly refurbished park will be cordoned off.  Officials are asking that everyone who shows up for the ceremony to please stay on the paths!

According to a press release, "The City wanted to allow access to the park to take advantage of the current warm summer weather and show off the newly completed splash pad and children’s play areas."

An official Grand Opening and Donor Recognition Celebration is planned for September 27th!   More details on that will be released shortly.  For information about Ellsworth's new Knowlton Park, call 669-6616 .
