Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula has been closed for the past sixteen days, a casualty of the government shutdown.

With last night's agreement in Washington D.C., Acadia National Park is now officially open once again!

The Park Loop Road and the Cadillac Mountain Road are open, the shops at Cadillac Mountain are also open, although the shop at Thunder Hole will remain closed for the season. The Jordan Pond House will open this Friday with a limited menu.
