Acadia is going all natural.

The Park Loop Road is a beautiful stretch of pavement. However nothing gets the blood pumping like a narrow road, with two-way traffic, cyclists that require by law three feet of space, and steep cliffs on the side of the road. Things can get hairy.

In an effort to give hikers and cyclists a worry free park experience Acadia National Park has set two dates as car-free mornings. TV5 says May 14 and September 17 cars will be forbidden from the the park until noon.

This will be the second year park officials has designated car-free mornings.
