Now is a great time to take advantage of one of our country's fabulous national treasures before the tourists get here, and it's right down the road!

Acadia National Park will begin to open some of its facilities for the summer season this Saturday, April 15th!  That includes opening the Park Loop Road to vehicles!  Also opening this Saturday will be The Hulls Cove Visitor Center, Thompson Island Picnic Area, and Echo Lake Beach!

Now that we're into spring thaw, the carriage roads within Acadia will remain closed in order to prevent any damage to the soft surface.  Rest rooms, campgrounds, and some picnic areas also remain closed.

More and more aspects of the Park will begin to open as the days go by, to keep up with everything you can visit THIS PART of the National Park Service's site.
