Acadia National Park is settling in to mud season.

Last week Acadia National Park's Carriage Roads opened again for cross-country skiers. Due to the new snow officials gave the go ahead to re-open the road system. Now that the snow is gone, we're back to the 'normal' closure of the Carriage Roads.

Acadia's Carriage Roads close in spring to prevent damage to the trial network.

The roads are closed to pedestrians, biking and horseback riding until everything dries out.
