Acadia’s Island Explorer Bus System Stops Rolling For The Season

The very popular and free MDI transportation system has completed it's 19th year of service.

Once again, thousands of folks were transported on and off the island using the propane fueled Island Explorer bus system.

The Island Explorer has been supported over the years by L.L. Bean, and cuts down on the amount of traffic within Acadia National Park and the surrounding communities.  Full-time service should begin again sometime in June of 2018.
