Actress Valerie Harper was taken to a Maine hospital Wednesday night, just before her performance at a Southern Maine theater. The 75-year-old was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2013.

Valerie Harper has been performing at the Ogunquit Playhouse in 'Nice Work If You Can Get It.' An ambulance was called to the Playhouse on Wednesday night to a report of an unconscious female. Harper had previously been diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009.

The Playhouse said in a statement that Harper is resting comfortably and is set to return to the stage, once she's feeling better. However, Entertainment Weekly quotes an anonymous source as saying 'it doesn't look good.'

Valerie Harper is best known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show,' and for her own sitcom 'Rhoda' in which she continued the character.
