As promised, Aerosmith rolled into Glendale, Ariz., for the opening date on their 2015 Blue Army tour on June 13 — and you can watch the show's opening number courtesy of the fan-shot footage above.

The set's first song, "Draw the Line," opened a hits-heavy evening that included some of the band's best-known songs, ensuring concertgoers got the maximum bang for their ticket buck but perhaps disappointing hardcore fans who'd been hoping for a more diverse set list. Guitarist Brad Whitford tells ABC News Radio that while he's well aware of the need to "take care of everybody" during the band's shows, he's hoping they can dig a little deeper into the vaults while they're out on the road this summer.

"We have so many songs in our catalog and there's a lot of songs from the early days that we kind of just like to take out and dust 'em off and try and keep it interesting," said Whitford. "The hard thing about our show is we … have a bunch of hits that we feel like we have to play and feel like people want to hear, [but we also want] to intersperse the show with stuff that may be a little more eclectic."

They've got some time to loosen up the set list between now and their next show. As the band notes in this tweet, the tour continues June 24 in Evansville, Ind.

In other Aerosmith news, Whitford refutes singer Steven Tyler's suggestion that the other band members are unhappy about his decision to record a country-influenced solo LP, which is currently in progress. "I'm maybe speaking a little bit out of the side of my mouth here but I think the band is fine with it," he shrugged. "He's been talking about this forever, and I've always been, 'Just go do it. Stop talking about it. Just do it!'"
