The Brunswick Executive Airport is ready for all the action this weekend! Last year the show was canceled after the Blue Angels were forced to cancel their appearance due to federal budget cuts. Thanks Obama.

Saturday and Sunday not only do the Blue Angels return, but a bunch of other wicked awesome aircraft. The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor will be making its first-ever appearance in Maine. It's one of only 19 other appearances it will make in North America this year.

Some very talented pilots will also take to the sky, with some cool routines. Self-titled sky dancer Anna Serbinenko will show off some graceful aerobatics. Dan Marcotte will show off his 'Ultimate Biplane.' Kent Pietsch brings comedy and aerobatics together with his routine. Some stunts to expect include a rooftop landing on a moving RV!

It's not just planes this weekend. Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Car will rocket down the runway at 400 miles-per-hour. The thing shoots out 20 foot flames and produces mini sonic booms.

Other planes preforming include:

  • U.S. Marine Corps C-130 'Fat Albert'
  • WWII-era P-51 Mustang
  • WWII-era B-25 Panchito
  • P-51 Quick Silver
  • L-39 Albatross
Organizers caution aircraft appearing are subject to change due to reasons like maintenance and weather. You are strongly encouraged to bring ear protection.

Tickets are $30 at the gate for adults and $15 for kids. Children under 3 are in for free. Other special ticket packages are available online. You also save a few bucks by purchasing them at the website.

The flying kicks off at noon both Saturday and Sunday.

The Brunswick Executive Airport is located at 15 Terminal Road in Brunswick.
