From BIW's cutting edge destroyers, to amphibious aircraft. Southern Maine is home to some incredible engineering.

Since being abandoned by the Navy the Brunswick Naval Air Station has been seeking more civilian uses. Obviously the Great State of Maine Air Show is one of those uses. According to the Sun Journal space at Brunswick Landing will be rented by Minnesota-based MVP Aero.

MVP Aero is working on building amphibious aircraft. The game plan is for the plane's wings to fold, allowing it assess to tighter quarters at marinas and boat houses. The Sun Journal has a picture of the mock-up.

MVP Aero estimates a prototype could be airborne between a year-and-a-half to two years.
