Before Billy Crystal was a movie star and before Jeff Dunham made ventriloquists funny again there was 'Soap'.  The shorty of two sisters Jessica Tate and Mary Campbell.  The Tates were rich and the Campbells were not.  However both families had secrets.  Starring Katherine Helmond , Robert Mandan, Cathryn Damon, Robert Urich, Billy Crystal, Robert Guillaume, Jimmy Baior, Diana Canova, Jennifer Salt, Ted Wass and Richard Mulligan . 

Soap's mad capped cast includes, Chester who is a unfaithful, Burt is crazy, Jody is gay, Jessica is innocent and the whole dysfunctional group is just too funny for words.

Soap was an American sitcom that ran on ABC from September 13, 1977 until April 20, 1981. The show was created as a night-time parody of daytime soap operas, presented as a weekly half-hour prime time comedy.
