Annual Light Up The Night Event Tonight in Orono

This year will feature a new event,  the Float Around Mill Street Stationary Parade of Lights!

Everyone is invited to Orono’s annual Light up the Night event at 4:30PM, tonight!

Beginning at 4:30 gather at the UCU Plaza for hot coco and cookies! Hopefully that hot coco will warm up your singing voice because at 5PM the walk begins to the University Inn while caroling with the Orono High School Chorus. The songs continue with the Renaissance Singers leading up to Santa's big countdown! The countdown results in the lighting of the tree.

After the tree lighting at 5:30PM you can visit with Santa while sampling from the chocolate fountain!

New this year will be the stationary parade of lights, in which the floats are parked and spectators travel from one end of the street to the other. Floats will be shown from 5:30PM-8PM.

The night concludes with a fireworks display at 7:30PM from the University Inn Lawn.
