This Friday night it's the Salvation Army Harvest Auction to benefit the Army's local area Fuel Fund!

In a press release, Captain Tim Clark, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Bangor said, With underemployment and layoffs, the budgets of many families and individuals are stretched to the limit.  When cold weather comes they are overwhelmed by escalating heating bills that push them beyond that limit.  They turn to us to fill the gap, and we want to have the resources to be able to meet their immediate need while also guiding them toward long-term solutions."

The annual auction happens this Friday night at the Spectacular Event Center on the Griffin Road in Bangor.  It begins at 6 with a sit down meal, then entertainment, a silent auction and then the live auction.  Cost of admission is $20.  Reserve your tickets by calling 941-2990.

Other items that will be auctioned off include orthodontic services by Bangor Braces, UM football tickets and sporting gear, antique dolls, an original Patriots logo signed by Phil Bissell and much more!
