Drug Agents Find Meth Manufacturing in Oakland
Drug agents with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency are cleaning up a methamphetamine operation after a month long investigation.
As a result, search warrants were used at 11 Center Street in Oakland, and at the Waterville Fireside Inn & Suites according to Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
Bangor Police Ask for Help Finding Suspect
Bangor police are on the lookout for the person who stole a vehicle from the Holiday Inn on the Odlin Road in Bangor early this morning.
Sgt. Cathy Rumsey says while the responding officer was heading west bound on I-395 he observed that there was a traffic crash on I-395 eastbound near the Farm Rd exit.

A fatal crash remains under investigation after one woman was killed and three others were hurt.
The crash happened yesterday afternoon on Route 16 in Embden.
Suicide Prevention Fence Considered for Penobscot Narrows Bridge
In the wake of a Bucksport Middle School teacher taking her life by jumping from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Sunday, the state legislature considers erecting a suicide-prevention fence to prevent more deaths.
The proposal was forwarded by Representative Joe Brooks of Winterport and it moved through committee without debate and now moves forward for consideration.

Two Accidents Result in Fatalities
Two accidents last night on Maine roads have resulted in fatalities.
Police in Old town report a 54 year old woman was killed when she was struck from behind while walking on Poplar Street around 6:30 last night. Police say the driver of the SUV that struck the woman stopped immediately and tried to render assistance while calling police.
