Two things that signify Christmastime for many of us have to be A Christmas Carol and A Charlie Brown Christmas. If that is you then three are two unique events coming to the Bangor Art Exchange that you might want to know about.

The first of these unusual offerings is a staged reading of A Christmas Carol performed by the 10 Bucks Theatre. One name you'll recognize as synonymous with Scrooge in these parts has to be Ken Stack. I have seen him in the part several time in various local venues. Ken will be doing this adaptation as well so you can expect something wonderful.

Shows begin Friday, December 7, The production will run December 7-9, show times are listed below. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 Day of Show.

• Friday, Dec 7: Doors 6:30PM, Show 7PM

• Saturday, Dec 8: Doors 6:30PM, Show 7PM

Next on their agenda is a live performance of the music from A Charlie Brown Christmas by Heather Pierson Jazz Trio.  I have only seen this played live one other time but I can tell you that for me as a huge Vince Guaraldi fan it was amazing to watch.

This show will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 7 PM – 9 PM tickets are $15.00 in advance 20 day of the show and seating is limited.

Also this weekend in tandem with the Festival of Lights Parade in downtown Bangor, members of the Bangor Symphony Youth Orchestras will take turns performing holiday favorites in the Bangor Arts Exchange Ballroom.  Admission is free with donations encouraged to support the BSYO! Cookies and hot cocoa will be available.

If you have never been to the Art Exchange it is located at 193 Exchange Street in Downtown Bangor.
