A stuck dog got a helping hand yesterday from Bangor's finest!

Around 6 p.m. yesterday, a passerby saw a dog that appeared to be stuck on a ledge. Lucky a Bangor police officer was close by and was flagged down. They called in Bangor Fire Department's Engine 1 with a 25-foot ladder. Firefighter Bruce Johnson retrieved the golden retriever.

The lil fella slipped out the door of a Union Street home two hours prior to his rescue. He wasn't hurt but could use a bath.

Bangor Fire says they enjoy the chance to help out furry friends when they can.
