Bangor JC Penney Misses The Cut

JC Penney announced Wednesday that it’s shuttering 33 under-performing stores this year.
The store closings also mean 2,000 Penney employees will also lose their jobs.

The good news is Bangor Mall JC Penney will not be one of the effected stores in fact there are no stores closing in Maine.

in past years JC Penney had been losing money to the tune of billions and although they have been making strides to come out of debt it is slow going.  In addition a brief Christmas calendar has forced their decision. Penney has a total of 1,100 locations.

Here's a list of the states and the number of stores will be closed by early May:
