Bangor was ranked 578th with highest scores for Quality of living and Education and lowest scores for Affordability and Economy. 578 might not sound great but compared to Lewiston's 970 rank, Bangor is doing well for itself.

Despite Lewiston being recently named the new 'Safe City in Maine' it still receives low grades in all categories. According to the data, South Portland is the best small city to live in Maine.
