The Bangor Police Department has announced four new members of the force, and here they are!

Officer Keith Larby is a native of the Old Town area. He attended Old Town High School and graduated in 2010. Upon graduation from high school, Keith attended Beal College in Bangor where he received his Associates of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement. Upon graduating from Beal in 2012, Keith received the Carl Andrews Memorial Award. In his spare time he enjoys riding his motorcycle and being outdoors.

Officer Kris Beck entered the US Army and at 18, shortly after graduating from Hermon High School in 2001.  He served 7 years in the Army and was an airborne infantryman assigned to the 82nd Airborne. He was deployed 3 times and served a total of 33 months in Iraq and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal during his last deployment to Iraq. During the police academy he received the weekly Randall Parson's Iron Man Award 3 times. Upon completion of the Police Academy he was awarded the Professionalism Award. Kris has been married for 2 years, to his wife, wife Miranda.

Officer Joe Orcutt Joe graduated from Bucksport High School in 1998.  He also graduated in 1999 from New England School of Communications with a degree in broadcasting.  He enjoys hunting and fishing.

Officer Jose Vidaurri was born in Austin, Texas. Jose was valedictorian of his high school graduating class and was also captain of his high school wrestling team. Jose played football and baseball as well. He subsequently attended the University of Texas where he received his B.A. in psychology. After visiting family in Maine, Jose decided he would pursue his law enforcement career in Bangor.
