Bangor Police Say Fire at Abandoned House Had ‘Human Element’

Police say they believe a "human element" was involved in starting a fire Friday morning at an abandoned house on Patten Street in Bangor.

Crews responded to the house, located at 45 Patten Street near Shaw's Supermarket, at about 10:30 a.m. Firefighters quickly doused the flames, but police are now investigating its cause.

Police say they have persons of interest in the case, but are asking anyone with information to call the Bangor Police Department at 207-947-7384 Option #6 or speak to Detective Timothy Shaw.
