When  come to things we are lucky to have in the city of Bangor 'Spring Clean Up' is one of them. If you live in Bangor and were planning to take advantage of this service be aware that Monday April 25th is the cut off for setting things out to be picked up.

According to the Public Works this year they are collecting metal and brush.

Specifically: "Metal items must be placed curbside no later than 6:30 am Monday April 25, 2016. No items containing freon, televisions or computer monitors please.

The preferred method of disposing of brush, yard waste and leaves is to bring it to the Public Works organic disposal site at the Public Works Facility at 530 Maine Avenue. A permit is required and can be obtained at no charge to residents at the Public Works office.

Brush should be placed curbside by no later than 6:30 am Monday April 25, 2016. Brush placed curbside late may not be picked up! Please place brush parallel to the curb away from low hanging wires, rubbish containers & recycling containers. Brush can also be brought to the Public Works Yard at 530 Maine Avenue any day during daylights hours.

Leaves will not be picked up curbside this spring. Leaves may be brought to Public Works 7 days a week during daylight hours."

So if you are planning to clean out the garage and do some trimming this weekend would be a good time to getter' done.

Also as a side note if you do have monitors and tvs that need to go ...
