The Bangor State Fair at Bass Park kicks off this Friday at 2PM!  Here's all you need to know!

Besides all the fun mid-way games, animals, rides, food and other fun, some of this year's attractions include The Nerveless Nocks Thrill Circus and Jimmy Riffle of The Gator Boys - Scales Tails and Teeth Gator Show; both shows appearing numerous times per day!  Other attractions that are scheduled include:

  • Mega-Trucks - Sunday, July 31st.
  • Geaghan’s Wing Eating Contest - Wednesday, August 3rd @4:30PM on the Red Zone Wireless Stage.
  • Demolition Derby - Thursday & Friday, August 4th & 5th @7:30PM
  • W.A.Bean & Sons Red Hot Dog Eating Contest - Saturday, August 6th @3:30PM on the Red Zone Wireless Stage.
  • Tractor Pulls - Saturday, August 6th
  • Central Maine Roller Derby -Saturday, August 6th
  • Bob Nickerson “The Jock-ular Juggler”,  Saturday & Sunday, August 6th & 7th, on the Red Zone Wireless State.

Admission to comedian Ron White's show on Saturday, July 30th, requires a separate ticket, as does admission to Dana White's "Looking For A Fight" on Friday August 5th.

The Fair runs July 29th through August 7th.  Hours of this year's fair are: 2 till 9PM Weekdays/12PM till 9PM on weekends.
Admission to this year's Bangor State Fair is: $12 per person, which includes a bracelet to ride the rides and access to the attractions and events.  August 1st through 3rd are Senior/Military Days.  Admission is $5 for those over 60, and military members must present an ID.
There is a $7 charge for parking, which is on the infield of the race track.  Access parking via Buck Street.
