Bangor’s Union Street Wendys To Be Re-Built

The Wendy's restaurant on Union Street in Bangor has been feeding folks since 1977, and it was beginning to show it's age! So, it will be flattened! But fear not burger lovers, it will be back!

The popular eatery out by the airport will close on Sunday, August 23rd.  The following day all the equipment within will be sold.  Then, the building will be torn down completely and then re-built.

A new modernized Wendys will open at the same location sometime in late November or early December.  The restaurant which is owned by a company in Augusta has offered the 28 employees there temporary jobs at other Wendys, including the one that they own at Bangor Mall Boulevard.
