Big goings on in Eden this Fourth of July!

It's one of America's top destinations for July 4th and after looking over the schedule of events one can clearly see why!  From the beginning of the day until the very end there's something for everyone this year in Eden!

6 - 10 a.m.- Blueberry Pancake Brakfast, sponsored by the Bar Harbor Rotary, at the Bar Harbor Athletic Field on Park Street.

6 - 9 a.m. - Various starting times for the MDI Relay Race sponsored by Crow Athletics. The 100-kilometer route encircles Mount Desert Island.

7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Bar Harbor Nonprofit Showcase at the Bar Harbor Athletic Field on Park Street. Featuring a variety of Maine non-profits selling goods.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. - A huge Craft fair and marketplace sponsored by The Island Arts Association at the YMCA at 21 Park Street. A yearly favorite for many!

10 a.m. - Independence Day Parade - Parade route runs from Main Street to Cottage Street to Eden Street to Mt. Desert Street to Ledgelawn Avenue.

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Seafood Festival.  Sponsored by the Bar Harbor Rotary Club at the Bar Harbor Athletic Field on Park Street. There is no doubt that it's the area's biggest seafood festival of the year, featuring lobster, mussels, corn, strawberry shortcake!
3:30 -9 p.m. - A free concert series happens in Agamont Park featuring local musicians and bands.  They'll play right up until the fireworks!

9:15 p.m. - Fireworks shot off over Frenchman Bay!
