Road re-construction will take a ten day hiatus for the July 4th holiday!

Crews will cease work this Friday on the majority of the $17.9 million project, that spans from west of Sand Point Road to the intersection of Route 3/Eden Street and Route 233 in Bar Harbor.  Workers will return to the project on Monday, July 10th.

The utility companies will resume work on Wednesday, July 5th,  and be in various locations on the project.

Northbound traffic will continue to be detoured between Crooked Road and Sand Point Road onto the Crooked Road. As usual, those traveling south will be reduced to one lane.  You are asked to please drive slowly within the detour!
