You've seen the tree work and the new telephone poles on the way to Bar Harbor on Route 3.  Here is what's happening with the 4.8 mile reconstruction project this week, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.

All work is subject to change due to the weather:

- This week the contractor plans to work on clearing from the Acadia National Park entrance towards Duck Brook.

- The utility contractor will continue setting new telephone poles starting at Old Bar Harbor Road and continue south down the project.

The the two and a half year, $17.9 million project,  will span from a point 0.57 miles west of Sand Point Road to the intersection of Route 3/Eden Street and Route 233 in Bar Harbor.
