Minor league baseball folks dig Portland!Recently, Baseball America, a site that is all about baseball (of course), asked broadcasters, executives and players which city they just loved to play in, and Portland came out on top of the heap!

The results of the survey named Portland "The Best Road City" in the minors!

The Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of that very popular team from Boston,  always seem to play in front of huge enthusiastic crowds and that was one of the aspects that the respondents really appreciated.

In a recent news release, Sea Dogs GM Geoff Lacuessa said of the folks from away, "They love the world-class dining, award winning micro-brews, Portland’s vibrant night life, and the beautiful seaside community that Portland offers."

Yup, baseball's been berry berry good to Portland, and we guess vice versa too.

The Sea Dogs will take on Hartford in the home opener, Thursday, April 14th.
