Bass Harbor Head Light Stamp

The United States Post Office announced on Monday April 4th, that they will be issuing 16 stamps celebrating the National Park Service's Centennial in 2016, and the first stamp depicts the Bass Harbor Head Light.

The stamp image was photographed by David Muench. The stamp will be issued on June 2nd at New York City's Javits Center at 11 AM as part of the World Stamp Show-NY 2014. Dedication ceremonies will also take place at or near each of the National Parks depicted on the stamps.
