Show of hands - who's sick of the snow and unhappy that it's falling once again? Yup, me too. So when I came across this video of the Bangor skyline, surrounded by lots and lots of GREEN, I had to share it!

The YouTube channel is called 'World Cities,' and I wasn't able to find any information about who they are or how they happened to get video of Bangor. But it contains some beautiful views of Bangor in the spring, summer, and fall. And, oh yeah, there's one shot of the Queen City in the winter. But it doesn't stay for very long and is replaced by a much warmer looking shot!

I've always been in love with this area. Born and raised in Brewer and now living in Orrington, I've spent my life in the region, and find new things to love about it all the time. There's something about the landscape. Buildings clustered around and in the midst of more trees than you'd imagine, until you see the City from above the branches. The diamond-like glitter off the Penobscot on a bright, sunny day. And the history in the City's architecture! Bangor has some beautiful old buildings that have been lovingly restored.

Warmer weather is coming, believe it or not. When it's here, take a good look at the Queen city. Maybe climb to the top of the Thomas Hill Standpipe and get a new perspective, if you've never seen the view from the observation deck. I know I plan to do a lot of walking once the snow is gone. Soaking up the sun, culture, and beauty that is Bangor, Maine.
