No need to drive around aimlessly trying to find Maine's best fall foliage spots. There's a website with a map to plot your trip before you hit the road.

Maine's fall foliage season runs September 10th through October 25th, attracting thousands of leaf peepers to our gorgeous state each year. And now this website by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) reports the findings of on-the-ground observations made by Maine forest rangers. The map on the homepage is updated weekly and indicates the current foliage conditions with a helpful foliage color key.

But Maine's official fall foliage website has so much more to offer. It provides information about free foliage tours led by rangers in Maine's state parks. You can register to receive weekly foliage updates. And it even tells you where you can go apple picking - a wonderful annual tradition for families!
