This big boy really needs a change of scenery!

The folks at the SPCA of Hancock County are reaching out for help for one of their long-term resident dogs.

He's a big, beautiful boy named Mack who is having a rough time at the shelter. He's a great big Rottweiler with a big broad face, big brown paws, and a tiny little nub of a tail.

We need help finding him a home, because although he is a handsome boy, he has some special needs. He's a young dog at three years old, but Mack already suffers from hip dysplasia. Vets are working to find the best medicine to help him feel comfortable.

Mack is also afraid of other dogs, so the poor fellow is all stressed out at the shelter. He desperately needs a forever home - or even a temporary foster home while vets get his medication sorted out.

He’s looking for a place where he's the only pet, so that he can get the attention he needs without being stressed by the presence of other animals in his environment.   Mack is not able to truly rest here at the shelter. Can you help us help him?
