To mark his 100th birthday, the oldest living billionaire is giving back.

The Rockefellers have made Mount Desert Island their summer home for over 100 years. David Rockefeller turns 100 years old today. To celebrate, he's donating 1,000 acres of land to preserve for Mainers to enjoy forever.

According to WABI, the land is located between Seal and Northeast Harbors. It includes Little Long Pond, the Rockefeller family’s historic boathouse, and miles of hiking trails. The land is already frequented by folks for recreation.

The property is adjacent to Acadia National Park.
