A man's body has been recovered from the Penobscot River in the town of Bucksport.

Sergeant Tim Cotton with the Bangor Police Department said in a press release that the man's body was pulled from the river on Saturday. The body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta for an autopsy to determine the individual's identity and confirm cause of death.

At this point, there's no word on the whether this is the body of missing Bangor man Paul 'June Bug' Francis, and so police are asking that people refrain from calling the police department for confirmation. They won't have any information until the autopsy is completed and the victim's family has been notified.

We'll update this story when more details become available.
