It is funny and I can see why this would be true.  When we take the time to post to Facebook , if you do that kind of thing, it's generally something that made you laugh, or that you were proud of or when you were having a very good time.  So it stands to reason , if you need a quick boost to your mood, look at old photographs of yourself on Facebook. That’s apparently as soothing as a walk in the park.

A new study found we typically post positive pictures and status updates on Facebook so looking back over these snapshots and wall posts when upset or depressed reminds us of happier times.

I think it comes down to a gratitude check that good times come and go and so do bad times.
