If there is one thing any dog owner knows is that there is nothing more wonderful than the love and loyalty of a dog.  This theme is celebrated to benefit shelter programs with the events called "The Bow Wow Film Fest" This group travels the country showing a joyful, traveling, dog centric collection of short films that celebrates the human canine bond.  Anyone who makes movies of their canine companion and submit films and any group that has the love of dogs and their welfare in mind can host an event.

Their webpage says they feature the year’s best pooch themed shorts all wrapped up in one beautiful, 90 minute, fun-loving package.  And the films change annually, so each year, there are always new movies to see!

This year in Maine the Bob Wow Film Fest will be shown in:

  • Biddeford at Smitty's Cinema on March 14th
  • Waterville at the Railroad Cinema on March 28th
  • Damariscotta, at the The Lincoln Theater on April 17th

Bow Wow is a delightful community event!  It is often used by animal welfare organizations, such as service dog or rescue groups to host an event that generates awareness of their mission as well as offering a fresh way to fundraise.

Since launching in 2015, over $125, 000 has been raised at Bow Wow Film Festival events!

This group works with animal rescues, theaters, dog themed companies and clubs! These organizations host an afternoon or evening program with 2 hours of lovingly curated, fun filled and delightful dog centric short films.
