The road up the mountain will close for a three day period to complete the paving of the parking areas there.

Beginning Tuesday May 1st, the Cadillac Mountain Summit Road will be closed to all traffic, including bicyclists, until sometime on Thursday May 3rd, according to a press release from Acadia National Park.

We appreciate the cooperation and patience of visitors as we complete this important project begun last fall,” said Superintendent Kevin Schneider. “The new paving will serve thousands of visitors to the Cadillac summit for years to come.”

Lane Construction will complete the paving process.  Those that are hiking can still access the summit but should pay attention to workers and the large equipment working in the area.
