The registration site says of Elliot:

Eliot was introduced to whitewater canoe racing through the MACKRO race series as a young teenager and later expanded his passion for river running when he became a registered Maine whitewater raft guide. He loved every aspect of the rivers he spent his time paddling.

One of the wonderful things this race offers is a paddle for every skill level that will keep things fun.
