The Maine Sheriff's Association's 'Manager of the Year' announced his candidacy for the office of Sheriff today. Chief Deputy Troy Morton is running for the post currently held by Sheriff Glenn Ross, who, earlier this month, announced his intent to retire at the end of the year. Ross is one of several sheriffs who have made the decision to retire.
Two men are facing charges for burglarizing vehicles in Bangor. The suspects were caught early this morning after a resident of the Bradford Commons apartment complex on Husson Avenue called police and reported seeing two men going through people’s cars in the parking lot.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of two people involved in a fatal crash in Eddington on Monday. A 47-year-old woman was killed in the crash that happened on Route 9 in Eddington near the Rooks Road.
