Mike Campbell Talks About Playing Forgotten Songs on Tom Petty Tour
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell admitted to Rolling Stone that he'd forgotten about some of the songs suggested for the group's current tour. Instead of just hauling out the usual hits, Petty and the Heartbreakers are digging deep into their 35-year-old catalog to fill out the set lists. And some of the cuts are so obscure, the guy who co-wrote some of them and played recorded of them can't even remember them.
Bon Jovi Announce Fall 2013 North American Tour Dates
The boys in Bon Jovi sure are keeping busy this year. Fresh from a string of European concerts, the Jersey-based rockers have announced a run of North American tour dates this fall. These dates will comprise the second leg of the North American shows that began in February and ran through April before the group headed overseas.

In May of 1968 – nearly a year after the release of the triumphant ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and a few months after the major movie blunder ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ – the Beatles began working on their next album. They had been writing songs (including ‘Dear Prudence,’ ‘Mother Nature’s Son’ and ‘Sexy Sadie’) during their trip to India earlier in the year. In May, they began to lay down demo versions at George Harrison’s bungalow in Esher, England.
