The Boston Red Sox dropped the finale of their series with the Orioles by a 6-0 score on a combination of early run production by Baltimore and a lack of Boston offense. It has been a recipe that has worked against the Sox all season and continued Wednesday as the Orioles jumped on Sox starter Rubby De La Rosa for three runs in the first inning thanks to a Chris Davis 2-run homer.De La Rosa struck out 7 but also allowed 7 hits and four runs to take the loss.

Boston's offense again failed to show up as they managed just four hits off Wei-Yin Chen who won for the seventh time this season. The Sox grounded into three double-plays and are now fourth in the majors in that department.

The Sox will play their next 7 games at Fenway starting with a four game series tonight against the Indians. Jon Lester will make the start for Boston.
