Christmas Shopping With A View

One of the things I give myself permission to do during the Holidays is avoid the Mall area as much as I can. That said, you still gotta shop so last Sunday with my friend Gloria, who loves road trips, I set out for some beautiful scenery on the way to Searsport and got a few really nice surprises.

We drove all along route 1A enjoying not only beautiful scenery but went to our favorite stores that have been in Searsport for many years, looked at all the new /old offerings at an antiques mall there and then found the Road House restaurant which had terrific service and wonderful food. What a perfect day it turned out to be. It even made driving through a snow storm all worth it.
So if you are looking for a nice drive with ocean views and terrific shopping and eating that is not too far away may I suggest a trip to Searsport.
