Yup, summer must officially be here, City swimming pools are opening this week!  Grab the swimming trunks, the towel and the sun block and cannonball to water utopia!

The Beth Pancoe Aquatic Center on 13th Street in Bangor opens Thursday at 1 with fees of $2 for a resident child and $3 for a out of town kid.

The Brewer Municipal Pool on WIlson Street also opens Thursday at 1, with "general swim" Mondays through Fridays 1:00 until 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and then Saturdays & Sundays 12 noon until 4:30 p.m.  Cost is 50 cents for a resident child and $1 for kids not from Brewer.

The Dakin Pool on Pine Street in Bangor opens this Saturday at 1pm.  The fees are 50 cents for a city kid and a buck for a kid from away. Hours are Monday through Fridays, 1 until 5pm, and then Saturdays and Sundays 1 until 4:30pm.

Fees are different for adults at all three pools, and the two Bangor pools offer "Family Swim" hours 6 until 8pm, check their websites for fees and rules.
