Yesterday, two fishermen aboard the Miss Lynn four miles south of Port Clyde called for help when a fire broke out in the engine room.  Eventually the Coast Guard cutter Willow showed up and fought the fire.  Watch this impressive video supplied by the U.S. Coast Guard!

When the Coast Guard received the call they launched a 29-foot response boat crew from their station in Rockland. The 225-foot buoy tender Coast Guard Cutter Willow based out of Newport, Rhode Island,  was already at sea and was sent to the area.

Meanwhile, the crew aboard the fishing vessel Bug Catcha had heard the distress call, and was already there pulling two fishermen in their survival suits from the frigid waters when the Guard showed up.

The video shows the Cutter Willow fighting  the fire at sea. The Miss Lynn sank near Cilley Ledge, and the two fishermen are doing fine.
