Three people face charges after drug agents take cocaine and heroin off the street in Midcoast Maine.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says Drug Enforcement agents from the Midcoast District Task Force along with officers from the Maine State Police, Thomaston Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Rockland Police Department executed a search warrant on Water Street in Thomaston yesterday.

Drugs confiscated included 21 grams of heroin and 26 grams of cocaine, as well as other items indicative of drug trafficking.

McCausland says 27-year-old Stafford Goodman of Biddeford, 20-year-old Lauryn Smith of Biddeford, and 30-year-old Alicia Santamore of Thomaston face drug trafficking charges.

Agents and officers coordinated their efforts in identifying and disrupting the distribution of heroin and cocaine throughout the Midcoast region of the state by this group. Their investigation is ongoing and other arrests are expected.
