Common Ground Country Fair In Unity [INFO]

Mark your calendar for one of the biggest fairs in Maine!

The Common Ground Country Fair presented by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 19th through 21st on the fairgrounds in Unity!

This is a really special true country fair for people who enjoy living off the land and promotes one of the original intents of country fairs, to improve local farming by bringing farmers together to compare the outcome of their farming practices.

An estimated 60,000 folks attend the fair every year.  You'll find great agricultural demonstrations and products, livestock, a wonderful Farmer's Market, all sorts of crafts, locally grown food, music and events!

You do not want to miss the sheep dog demonstrations!

The gates open at 9 a.m. each day and the venders will remain open until 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday and then until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The cost of admission is $15 at the gate daily,or $10 if you buy your tickets in advance. Elders 65+ get in for $10 and children under 12 get free admission. Bike to the fair or take the train from Unity or Thorndike and get $2 off the price of admission.
