Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion Here In Bangor Up For ACM Award

Congratulations to the folks at Waterfront Concerts for Darling's Waterfront Pavilion being nominated as Large Capacity Venue Of The Year by the Academy Of Country Music!

This is the second time in three years that the venue has been up for the prestigious award.  Other nominees this year include: The Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington, the Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana,  and the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Numerous big name country acts have played the waterfront here in Bangor in the past, and this year the impressive line -up of acts continue, with artists like Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan on the schedule! The venue has a capacity of almost 16,000.

"The staff here at Waterfront Concerts would like to thank, first and foremost, our fans, family and friends for all of your encouragement and support. Without you, none of this would be possible", according to a press release from the company.  They also go on to thank the City of Bangor for its "continued commitment to the venue development throughout the years."

The Academy of Country Music Awards show will be broadcast on WABI TV 5 on Sunday night, April 3rd.  Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, two of this year's scheduled performers here in Bangor, will host the show!
