Dexter Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the Rite Aid Pharmacy in that town last night around 5:15.  The man pictured below gave the pharmacist on duty a note that said he had a gun and wanted narcotics.  The pharmacist then held the note up and said in a very loud voice, "You mean to tell me you're robbing us"?  This spooked the would be robber into running out of the store.

Last night a Maine State Police canine unit along with the Penobscot Sheriff's Office and Dexter Police Department searched the area with no luck.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect and has any information is asked to call Chief Kevin Wintle or Lt. Alan Grinnell of the Dexter Police Department at 924-7622.
