Did you find yourself walking around in Downtown Bangor on Saturday night and thinking to yourself, "Boy, that guy looks just like Tony Shalhoub?"

That's because it was! The Emmy-winning star of the long-running television show, "Monk" and many movies including "Men in Black," was in the city over the weekend to see the Penobscot Theatre's production of "It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play."

The play, which runs through Dec. 27, stars Shalhoub's nephew Tony Larkin as George Bailey. (An aside: If you haven't seen the play yet, it's really good!)

While in the city, Shalhoub reportedly had dinner at Blaze in West Market Square (the setting of the photo above) where he was very cool and made time to talk with fans.

For those of you who don't know, he also has another connection to Maine. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Southern Maine.
